
Green Tractor Scheme Punjab 2025
The Government of Punjab continues to support the agricultural sector by providing modern tools to farmers under the Green Tractor Scheme Punjab 2025. As part of this initiative, 35 tractors worth Rs. 84 million were distributed free of cost among selected farmers in the Bahawalpur district. This step is part of the “Zyada Gandum Ugawo” program, which is focused on increasing wheat production and improving farmers’ livelihoods.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has emphasized empowering small farmers across the province, and this tractor scheme is a major part of her vision. The recent tractor distribution event took place at the District Council Hall in Bahawalpur, where several government officials and a large number of farmers were present to witness the ceremony.

During the event, MNA Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farhan Farooq distributed the tractors to the successful farmers. In total, 891 farmers had applied under this scheme from the Bahawalpur district. The selection of 35 deserving farmers was done through a transparent lucky draw system, ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all applicants.

- Bahawalpur – 8 farmers
- Hasilpur – 7 farmers
- Ahmadpur Sharqia – 6 farmers
- Yazman – 9 farmers
- Khairpur Tamiwali – 6 farmers

Each selected farmer received a 55-horsepower green tractor completely free of cost. These tractors are expected to help farmers increase wheat yield and reduce the cost of cultivation.
